MANILA, Philippines--A subsidiary of publicly listed Diversified Financial Network Inc. (DFNN) has teamed up with Japanese luxury travel agency Asian Elite Club Co. Ltd. to promote the Philippines among high-net-worth travelers from China.
Avensis Leisure Pte Ltd., the Singapore-based subsidiary of technology firm DFNN, signed a memorandum of understanding with Asian Elite on Wednesday on creation of a joint venture company that would offer niche travel services to big-spending tourists.
?There is big growth in Asia, and we will probably see this region growing the fastest in tourism. China?s upper and middle classes will be growing as well and the Philippines is taking advantage of the growing trends in gaming,? DFNN president and chief executive Ramon Garcia Jr. said.
Asian Elite offers customized tours that feature the following: Exclusive limousines for their travel within Japan (depending on the course, some clients may use helicopters, private jets, sightseeing trains, boats, for some parts of the trip); and accommodation facilities that will be chosen among the highest-rank facilities in each area typically between five and seven days.
The packages are priced at $10,000-$300,000 each.
Asian Elite chief executive officer Makoto Honda described the Philippines as an attractive tourist destination with 7,100 islands, planned luxury hotels and a proposed ?Pagcor City? being touted as the ?Las Vegas of the Philippines.?
?It?s very rare that all these things are in one place which will attract customers to the Philippines,? Honda said. ?High-end customers in China want to visit nature places and look for entertainment that they don?t have in the Mainland.? With editing by INQUIRER.net
