RP stocks up on strong Asian markets

MANILA, Philippines?Local stocks climbed for the fourth straight session Thursday on heavy trading alongside a buoyant regional market.

The main-share Philippine Stock Exchange index added 25.45 points or 0.72 percent to 3,560.39.

Amid a very meager gain in Wall Street overnight, Asian equity markets drew strength from a new report in Japan that suggested a much improved demand for electronics.
