MANILA, Philippines — Cebu Pacific Air announced it had obtained approval of the Japan Civil Aviation Board to remove surcharges on its Manila-Osaka route.
Cebu Pacific is currently the only airline granted such a leeway, which will result in a fare reduction in its Manila-Osaka fare by 46-percent, the airline unit of JG Summit Holdigs said in a statement.
Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific vice president for marketing and distribution, said: “We asked for the removal of the surcharges to make travel more affordable especially in these challenging times. This will also help us stimulate travel because passengers can now see the real out-of-pocket cost paid to Cebu Pacific.”
Cebu Pacific is offering a promotional fare of P3,999 one-way for its Manila-Osaka service starting March 5 until March 10 and is good for travel from May 31 to Oct. 29. Elizabeth Sanchez-Lacson
