Philippines stock exchange resumes trading after over two-hour halt
MANILA -The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) resumed trading at 11:56 a,m. or more than two hours after it was temporarily halted.
The PSE did not provide a reason why trading was interrupted at 9:32 a.m. but said it would make further announcements.
The benchmark stock exchange index opened 0.22 percent lower on Wednesday. But trades were halted after just four minutes.
“Pursuant to the trading rules, market phases will proceed as scheduled,” it said.

As of noon break, PSE index was down 0.43 percent, or 28.18 points, while the broader All-Shares index slipped by 0.27 percent, or 9.19 points, to settle at 3,456.78.
