Modern day ‘Romeo and Juliet’ find love in the south
By this time, everyone is well aware that the City of Sta. Rosa in Laguna has a number of stellar economic achievements under its sleeve.
The Lion City of the South is considered today as the investment hub of South Luzon given its four Philippine Economic Zone Authority (Peza)-accredited economic zones, and the presence of four major car assemblers that earned Sta. Rosa its tag of being the MotorCity of the Philippines.
But even before Sta. Rosa had these milestones attached to its name, Suntrust Properties Inc. already saw the city’s potential as an investment area through its residential development which stands along Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road.
Aptly named after the Italian city where Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” classic was set, the 64-ha Suntrust Verona is dotted with colorful single-detached and duplex homes inspired by the architecture of the quaint city in Europe.
Families or individuals seeking a new home have a variety of models to choose from. The 179-sqm Micaella model is a two-storey home complete with a family area, four bathrooms and four bedrooms. Smaller families, meanwhile, can choose between the 117-sqm Fiorenza for an intricate, warm and spacious home, or the 94-sqm Mariella Premium, which is made elegant by its simpler design and compact space.
But Suntrust Verona does not limit the Italian inspiration on its homes alone. It also has an Italian-themed nature park, Italian bridgeways, and its very own love lock garden—possibly one of its more popular features, especially for those aspiring to complete the European, romantic ambiance.

Rosa just being a few minutes’ drive away from Suntrust Verona. Both the kids and kids-at-heart who still enjoy getting that adrenaline rush from the thrill of roller coaster rides can meanwhile choose between Sky Ranch Tagaytay and the world-class Enchanted Kingdom.
Its close proximity to schools such as Adventist University of the Philippines, Caritas Don Bosco School and Ateneo Graduate School of Business further make it enough of a complete package as a family-friendly home investment.
Medical emergencies won’t be a problem, too: Southern Luzon Medical Center, FortMED Clinics and New Sinai MDI Hospital are all within Sta. Rosa.
Laguna’s thriving community has been one of the main drivers toward its economic success: from nearby vacation spots to bustling economic zones, the Lion City of the South in itself has more than proven that it is an area worth the attention and investment.
