Raising the bar in ‘bayside living’

Everybody is spoiled for choice at the Bay Area.

It has always been an iconic part of the metro, with the Manila Bay always treating locals and foreigners to a majestic show of a setting sun and blowing sea breeze providing a gentle reminder how lovely it is to be living in a tropical country.

Add to that the old world charm and the artsy vibe that Manila has always possessed. And like a giant that has been roused from his sleep, Manila’s Bay Area has seen much rapid development in recent years.

It has even raised the bar when it comes to the live-work-play concept that has become popular among local property developers today. While many are simply looking for dwelling and working spaces that will provide basic conveniences, the fast-growing business district that is the Bay Area goes beyond with its hypersized amenities.

Locals and foreigners who are looking for various forms of leisure and entertainment are spoiled for choice in the Bay Area and surrounding districts.

One of the country’s largest malls, SM Mall of Asia, is located here. A tourist destination in itself, it has an Imax theater, an Olympic-sized ice skating rink, concert grounds, an amusement park which features the MOA Eye and the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Bay Area is also home to the country’s Entertainment City which features some of the most luxurious gaming and entertainment establishments such as City of Dreams Manila, Okada Manila, and Solaire Resort and Casino.

The 77-ha Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex also calls Bay Area—specifically the so-called Bay City—its home. The shortage in premium office spaces in Makati City and Bonifacio Global City has pushed tenants to consider other locations in the metro. Thanks to its accessibility to other business districts and proximity to the airport, the Bay Area turned out to be a viable option for business locators.

Traditional companies engaged in logistics, advertising, construction, online shopping, and consultancy have set up shop in the Bay Area in addition to business process outsourcing (BPO) and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) firms.

Bay City has the Financial Center Area which includes the Philippine National Bank complex, the Philippine Airlines headquarters, World Trade Center Manila and the GSIS complex where the Senate building can be found.

The expansive central portion of Bay City is also home to the SM Central Business Park, the Metropolitan Park of the Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co., Manila Tytana College, the Entertainment City, Aseana Business Park, Singapore School Manila, The King’s School, Manila and the Passport Center of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Those looking for residential spaces to either live or invest in are presented with an abundance of choices in the Bay Area. Colliers International Philippines, in fact, reported that nearly half of all new condominium units delivered in the first quarter of 2019 came from here.

The emerging business district has become home to quite a number of luxury condominium projects, seen by affluent locals and foreign investors as a viable investment option.

One premium residence that is worth looking out for within the Bay City is Copeton Baysuites. A project by upscale property developer Anchor Land Holdings, it will rise along Macapagal Boulevard and beside City of Dreams Manila. The upcoming Ayala Mall in the Bay Area is likewise set to stand right across the luxury condominium. Future residents meanwhile have ease of access to the airport via the NAIA Expressway.

A pioneer residential developer in Bay City, Anchor Land designed Copeton Baysuites to complement the posh and lavish vibe of the area. The masterplanned, ultra-luxurious development will stand at 16 storeys.

The three-tower Copeton Baysuites will also be built with special features such as curtained walls and double-glazed glass panels to lessen the amount of heat that goes in the building. Opulent living spaces await those who will call Copeton Baysuites their home.
