Philips iDose4 Premium package is a revolutionary radiation dose reduction solution for CT scanners without compromising image quality and is capable of ensuring enhanced patient safety.
Philips recently installed its powerful iterative reconstruction technology, iDose4 Premium package, at the St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC). Since lowering radiation dose has become a concern for healthcare professionals, the new application has been engineered to help lessen radiation level in CT scan procedures.
Used in combination with the advanced technologies of the Philips Premium CT scanner, this technology provides a unique approach to managing important factors in patient care—low energy, low dose, and low injected contrast imaging without compromising image quality.

According to Dr. Pasia, the iDose4 Premium solution is a specialized tool installed on Philips CT scanners that provide an improved spatial resolution and image quality attained at lowering radiation dose. iDose4 reconstruction is achieved in seconds rather than minutes. The majority of reference protocols are reconstructed in 60 seconds or less.
This technology decreases concern for risk of radiation-related illness. Aside from iterative reconstruction technique that radiologists can use to adjust image quality and X-ray dose levels, it also has robust artifact prevention abilities that best benefit the patient.
