JDI gives sealant for Habitat’s home-building project

/ 11:38 PM October 12, 2012

As many places around the country went under water during the height of the unusual southwest monsoon and Typhoon “Haikui,” many Filipino families were affected with a number actually losing their homes while others were heavily damaged.

Caring organizations like Habitat for Humanity extended assistance to these families and help them resume living normal lives. Among these projects is Habitat’s “Ayos Bahay Challenge” where beneficiaries are assisted in rebuilding their homes.

Jardine Distribution Inc. (JDI), a leading marketing and distribution company of applied construction supplies, in its little way, supports Habitat’s worthy project by donating Sureseal Elastomeric Sealant that will be used in rebuilding and restoring damaged homes.  Sureseal is a multipurpose elastomeric sealant used as a sealing and bonding agent for roofing nails, indoor plumbing, outdoor piping, gutters and downspouts.

“Ayos Bahay Challenge” aims to distribute home repair products such as sealants to help the victims in restoring their homes.

“At Jardines, we find ways of returning back to the community in appreciation for the support and patronage our products have enjoyed through the years. Sureseal will be a great help in rebuilding these homes and we share Habitat’s thrust not only to repair these homes but for those affected to regain their lives as well,” said Kathleen Aguilan, JDI marketing services officer.
