SM to open 2nd lifestyle mall in Olongapo

Property giant SM Prime Holdings is opening on Friday its 73rd shopping mall in the Philippines:  a new lifestyle mall in the highly urbanized city of Olongapo in Zambales.

Situated in Olongapo’s primary business district, along the bustling Rizal Avenue in Barangay East Tapinac, SM City Olongapo Central is a four-story complex with gross floor area of  72,000 square meters.

This is SM Prime’s second lifestyle mall in Olongapo, a first-class city.  It will open with 85 percent of its space already leased out to tenants.

The new shopping, dining and entertainment complex features SM brands such as SM Supermarket, The SM Store, Our Home, Watsons, Uniqlo, Surplus, Sport Central, SM Appliance Center, Ace Hardware, Banco de Oro and China Bank.

SM City Olongapo Central is also pitched as an “ideal avenue for communities from neighboring towns and provinces to converge and enjoy a refreshing and holistic urban lifestyle experience topped with modern amenities.”

The complex will have a food hall, cyberzone, wellness zone, six digital cinemas, a convention center, more than 700 car park slots and a sports entertainment venue.
