GMA7 files P37.94-M estafa complaint vs TAPE officers

GMA Network

MANILA, Philippines — GMA Network Inc. filed an estafa complaint against the officers of Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE) for alleged misappropriation of funds amounting to P37.94 million.

“The complaint stems from respondents’ failure to remit advertising revenues collected from clients, which had been contractually assigned to GMA Network under a 2023 assignment agreement,” the Gozon-led media said in a disclosure on Thursday.

GMA alleged that TAPE had used the funds for its operational expenses instead of transferring them to GMA, as what was agreed upon.
