MANILA, Philippines--Hinduja Global Solutions Inc., one of the first Indian business process outsourcing firms to set up shop here, is preparing to venture out of Metro Manila to open another facility with at least 1,000 seats.
In an interview Friday, HGSL Philippines president and chief executive Pushkar Misra said the company?s two facilities here, with a combined capacity of 3,000 seats, were almost completely filled up.
He said HGSL was now looking at possible locations for a new site, including Clark, Tarlac, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Dumaguete and Iloilo to further support the company?s growth.
He said a decision on the new location would be made in the next few months, with the establishment of a new site to take place within the year.
While there was no final decision yet on how many seats the new site would hold, he said HGSL was not inclined to go with less than 1,000 seats.
?In our experience, [a facility with] less than 1,000 seats is not optimal. We may start with 500 seats, and then expand,? he said.
For 2010, at the company?s existing facilities at the HTMT Cyberpark and Eastwood Cyberpark in Quezon City, he said HGSL would continue to focus on voice services, but would gradually bring in more non-voice services from its United States and India operations.
?We?re doing mostly voice now, with non-voice services making up a small percentage. But we?re considering doing more non-voice here, and we expect to sign with a US-based firm in the next three months,? he related.
