Solar: An alternative to rising power costs

Philippine Daily Inquirer
First Posted 22:59:00 03/15/2008

MANILA, Philippines--Solar & Wind Electric Power (SWEP) Inc. is an alternative power-maker and installer that provides case-specific power solutions for homes, business establishments as well as many other institutions. Its shop is located along the Auto Zone of the Westgate Center in Filicity, Alabang, which offers products that you might need to power your house or office up.

SWEP is an exclusive distributor and installer of SunPower products in the country. And from SunPower, SWEP offers Solar Panels which help generate solar power into your home, making an alternative and more cost-efficient way to managing your electric needs.

These panels are said to be able to reduce one’s monthly electric bills significantly. They absorb sunlight rays, even on cloudy days, readily transforming sunlight into electric energy with the help of an inverter. What’s more, SunPower’s solar panels make use of a process called net metering which allow for sunlight energy stored to be used the moment the sun goes down. SunPower offer high-power solar panels, the kind that’s said to deliver 50 percent more power per unit area than any other solar-powering product.

Another one of SWEP’s power-creating products are their Wind Turbines. These turbines readily convert the wind’s kinetic energy into useable electricity, so much so that SWEP has come to call them the “wind generators.”

Visit SWEP at the Westgate Center in Alabang. For inquiries, call 8503516 or 8503515 for leasing inquiries or visit www.westgatefilinvest.com
