LONDON -- Dwyka Resources Ltd. said diamond drilling at its Daguma coal project in the Philippines is expected to start by the second week of August.
The nickel and gold explorer said it has appointed Sedgman Ltd. to conduct a pre-feasibility study on the project.
The study will consider alternative production and engineering approaches for each component of the project to determine the most efficient operating scenarios, the company said.
Sedgman will complete the study by Sept. 12 and submit the report shortly afterwards, Dwyka said.
Drilling at Daguma will start initially on the two coal blocks comprising the Daguma deposit, one of two coal deposits forming part of the project, it added.
