LONDON, United Kingdom - Rusina Mining N.L. said it has mobilized a rig to start a new drilling program for platinum group metals (PGM), chromite and nickel sulphides at the Acoje site on the island of Luzon in the Philippines.
The initial program will comprise about 10 drill holes and will test new interpretations of the formation of the PGM and nickel sulphides mineralization, Rusina said in a drilling update released Tuesday.
The drilling program was first announced on March 7.
In addition, Rusina said its operations suffered minor damage as a result of typhoon Cosme on May 19, but that mining is continuing at Acoje.
