Stockholders of ABS-CBN to get P0.825/share

MANILA, Philippines-Listed ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. is paying P633 million to stockholders, in the form of cash dividend amounting to P0.825 per share.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange Thursday, the company said the dividend would be paid to stockholders on record as of April 30, 2008, on or before May 27.
ABS-CBN also said its board of directors has confirmed the appointment of Charo Santos-Concio as its president and chief operating officer, and Rolando P. Valdueza as chief financial officer effective April 2, 2008.
Santos-Concio, the first woman to take the helm of the media conglomerate, joined ABS-CBN as a consultant when the network reopened in 1987. She later served as director for programs, vice president for production operations, senior vice president for TV production, and executive vice president overseeing all the entertainment content of flagship station Channel 2.
