Celebrating 31 years of leading the fitness and beauty industry in Asia, Slimmers World International proudly presented the candidates of Miss Bikini Philippines 2009 to the press at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza last Wednesday, April 22, 2009.

The qualifying competition for Miss Bikini International and Miss Bikini World is Slimmers World?s Miss Bikini Philippines who paraded 26 of the country?s best bikini beauties. Selected from over 300 aspirants, the candidates gave a glimpse of their bikini best forms showing how the Philippines has more than a fighting chance at winning the prestigious international competitions.

From the opening performance on to the individual talent and long gown competitions, the 26 bikini beauties enthralled the discriminating audience from media. Prominent members of the media were also involved with the competition, serving as judges. A cacophony of cheers and applause greeted the candidates as they took over the stage, a sound that reverberated even louder as the candidates expressed their talents through song and dance numbers, and other talents.

The same evening, Sponsors? Awards were handed out to deserving candidates. Miss Evian Fresh was given to Caselyn Barrion, while Gracianne Dela Cruz of Davao City bagged the Miss Lactacyd title. Miss Mary Kay award went to Kim De Guzman of Subic and the title of Miss Broadmedic was awarded to Leslie Ann Ramos along with PhP 20,000 worth of laser services. Miss Salsa Trends, the official provider of bikinis, was given to Kimberly Ann Brandon, while Jocel Kusain of Davao City was given the Miss M. Chereville title, the official hotel of the pageant, along with a presidential suite good for 2 persons with free buffet breakfast.

The next stage of the competition, the Pre-Pageant Night, will be held on April 26, 2009 at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel, a precursor to the Coronation Night at the PICC Plenary Hall on May 3, 2009.

A number of illustrious titles along with the biggest prizes are at stake. Miss Bikini Philippines World will represent the country in Miss Bikini World in Malta and will win over PhP 500,000 in cash and other prizes. Miss Bikini Philippines International will represent the country in China and will bring home over PhP 400,000 in cash and prizes.
