Appreciating the value of space
The past 18 months found us doing a lot of pondering about our lives.
Being in lockdown, mired with uncertainties and experiencing one loss after another, prompts us to rethink our dreams and priorities. With all the negativity that is happening around, I spend my time now repurposing, reinventing and realigning my life.
While we were suddenly deprived of spending time with friends and family outside our household and we had to abruptly postpone—or even call off—many of our plans, we also had a whole lot of growing up to do, all while being cooped up in our own homes.
Space has been a concern for many families ever since the pandemic and the lockdowns that followed bound us to do everything within the confines of the house. We had to be creative with our spaces so that there’s a workstation, study nook, fitness corner, and not to mention an isolation room just in case that dreadful moment happens. All these we had to organize while making sure that we can still relax, play and be comfortable at home.
One property developer that recognizes the value of space is Camella. From its multi-bedroom house options to its homes’ open floor plan layout, Vista Land and Lifescapes’ middle-income housing brand gives its families the freedom of space. Homeowners can transform parts of their homes as they please, whether they need a hobby room, a home gym or a full home office.

I can just imagine the thrill of homeowners who are plantitas, pet parents and nature lovers. Beyond that, the neighborhood is designed with verdant parks, open spaces, playgrounds and green avenues where the family can safely hang out, get some sun and breathe in fresh air.

It takes me back to the previous year when our family quarantined for several weeks in Tali Beach in Batangas, where I was able to take two- to four-hour walks each morning. The practice helped clear my mind and enabled me to keep my calm amid all the worries and uncertainties of the pandemic.
Of course, living in a Camella neighborhood also means you’re not far at all from your basic necessities. With its masterplanned communities located near malls and business districts, you can rest easy that essentials and each family member’s needs are just a few minutes away.
As the pandemic changed our perspectives, it also challenged our homes to be dynamic and adapt to our fast-changing needs. The property developer’s new line of smart-ready homes enable homeowners to automate home functions using their mobile phones. From switching between light modes, controlling appliances and activating alarms, Camella’s smart homes promise a more personalized and convenient home life.
The pandemic may have altered some of our dreams, but trust Camella to remain committed to its vision of bringing every Filipino family home to their dream life.
