Roche (SIX: RO, ROG; OTCQX: RHHBY) announced that from now on its modular-based diabetes management platform for healthcare professionals and people with diabetes, Accu-Chek Smart Pix Online, will be newly named RocheDiabetes Care Platform. The new naming goes with its second release and reflects the platform’s evolution into an integrated Personalised Diabetes Management solution that seamlessly brings together diabetes-relevant data within a single digital solution for a more personalized approach to diabetes care.

The RocheDiabetes Care Platform overcomes challenges that an increasing amount of diabetes data poses for healthcare professionals and their teams. It consists of an open, device-agnostic system capturing and storing data from various sources such as blood glucose meters, insulin pumps as well as smart insulin pens. The set-up is designed to analyse and contextualise these data through smart algorithms. By transforming singular data points into meaningful, actionable insights, it facilitates efficient analysis and decision support helping healthcare professionals spend less time uploading and interpreting data and more time with patients to discuss therapy-relevant data.

The RocheDiabetes Care Platform is designed to be the cloud-based successor for all digital diabetes management solutions for healthcare professionals offered by Roche Diabetes Care. “This intelligent platform empowers healthcare professionals and Filipinos with diabetes alike to confidently manage therapy every day,” says Joerg Hoelzing, Head Strategy & Customer Solutions at Roche Diabetes Care. “With its second release, we established the foundation of this modular-based platform bringing together and visualising key diabetes data. Over time, we will further enhance diabetes management focusing on device connectivity, workflow optimisation and systematic population management. The RocheDiabetes Care Platform will enable integrated Personalised Diabetes Management at the doctor’s office.” After the product introduction under its former name in 2019, the name is now changed to RocheDiabetes Care Platform.
