GOINGS ON: Shiptek launches Xlog
Shiptek Solutions Corp., a homegrown technology company, launched Xlog, an end-to-end digital logistics platform that commits to provide shippers an integrated suite of logistics tools that allow the streamlining of logistical workflow and enable frictionless shipping transactions.
“In 2017, the global logistics market reached a value of $10.32 billion and this is expected to hit $12.68 billion by 2023. This just proves that the logistics industry remains an important contributor to every country’s growth,” said Joey Ynion, chief operating officer of Shiptek Solutions Corp. “However, despite its importance, logistics is in dire need of an upgrade, with many of its processes still very much manual.”
It is with this in mind that the idea for Xlog was conceptualized. Xlog aims to make logistics smarter and more efficient by providing tools that allow shippers fast and cost-effective online booking, end-to-end shipment monitoring and easy transaction management.
Sun Life Prosperity funds bag 17 Pifa awards
Sun Life Asset Management Company, Inc. (Slamci) is finishing 2018 strong as it was the most awarded asset management company at the Philippine Investment Funds Association (Pifa) 12th Annual Awards Night recently held at Tower Club, Makati City.
The company received 17 awards for its Sun Life Prosperity Funds. Slamci won top honors in five categories: the Sun Life Prosperity Philippine Equity Fund, Inc. topped the three-year return-equity fund category (peso-denominated), the Sun Life Prosperity Money Market Fund, Inc. outperformed other funds in the one-year and three-year returns-money market fund category, and the Sun Life Prosperity Dollar Advantage Fund, Inc. dominated the three-year and five-year returns balanced fund category-foreign currency-denominated.
Meanwhile, the following funds placed second in their respective categories: the Sun Life Prosperity Balanced Fund, Inc. in the one-year return-balanced fund category (peso-denominated), the Sun Life Prosperity Bond Fund, Inc. in the one-year return-bond fund category (peso-denominated); the Sun Life Prosperity Dollar Advantage Fund, Inc. in the one-year return-balanced fund category (foreign currency-denominated), the Sun Life Prosperity Money Market Fund, Inc. in the five-year return- money market fund category, and the Sun Life Prosperity Dollar Abundance Fund, Inc. in the one-year return-bond fund category (foreign currency-denominated).
