Celebrating its 21 years in the real estate industry, Suntrust Properties has demonstrated anew what it means to be a home builder. Giving more depth and meaning to the business of building homes, Suntrust Properties went beyond its comfort zone and made sure that the promise of brighter days ahead is felt not only in its communities but also by the people who work tirelessly to deliver high quality projects.

And this year’s festivities were no different from the previous one. Suntrust Properties paid homage to the dedication and hard work of its site construction workers, who have helped achieve the company’s vision of creating truly livable communities. It prepared a whole day of fun and entertainment on Thursday, and gave gifts of thanksgiving as well.

Held at the Ynares Sports Complex, the activity saw hundreds of workers getting excited and having fun as they participated in various games and challenges that further strengthened the group’s camaraderie.

“Suntrust celebrates its 21st anniversary by recognizing again the utmost importance of its thousands of site construction workers. The delivery of clients’ expectations hinges mostly on their shoulders. Hence, we urge them to embrace that spirit of malasakit to do their best and be proud of their work. We wish to inspire them to aspire for greatness in whatever role each play in the field,” said Suntrust Properties president Harry Paltongan.

Suntrust donates a thousand notebooks for both the children of indigent detaines and the inmates of Baguio City Jail.

Steady anchor

Aware of the crucial role that the workers play to achieve the company’s mission, Suntrust Properties makes it a point to ensure that the good life is also felt by its workers to keep them even more inspired and motivated. In so doing, Suntrust Properties has become one of the steady anchors of nation building as it also helps generate jobs in areas where it is present.

“In our wish to provide more housing in response to the at least 5 million housing needs in the country, we expanded aggressively beyond Metro Manila and Calabarzon, reaching as far as Mindanao and Visayas. We also have projects in Central Luzon and Cordilleras,” Paltongan said.

“In so doing, we created jobs for employees, sales people and construction workers. We found ourselves not only in subdivision and condominium housing developments but also in industrial parks for various factories—mostly foreign. We also operate schools and manage a golf course. Upstream and downstream, we somehow contributed to the local and national economy,” he added.

Unwavering commitment

Indeed, for a company who has seen quite a number of highs and lows, the success that Suntrust Properties now enjoys is one for the books.

As a company built in time of crisis, it has come along way and achieved more than what it aspired for. Through the heart and strong leadership of its president and the commitment of his fellow Suntrustees, the company was able to move the brand to great heights and cement its lead in the market but without leaving anyone behind.

Wherever Suntrust Properties Inc. goes, it brings with it the heart and the value of malasakit while at the same time acknowledging that there is still much that needs to be done. For Suntrust Properties there simply is no stopping, the company will continue to work and deliver communities that will help bring better and brighter days ahead.

“So as we look forward and thank everyone who supported us, we also recognize our deficiencies and shortcomings. We may not be perfect but we are doing our best to resolve the concerns of our clients. They are the reason why we are here and why we are growing. With at least 40,000 units sold over the years, this is now our greatest challenge,” Paltongan concluded.
