CIMB says ‘unexpected error’ caused unauthorized fund transfers

MANILA, Philippines – CIMB Bank Philippines said an “unexpected error” caused the unauthorized fund transfers that affected some of its customers over the weekend.

“Immediate action was taken and it has since been resolved,” CIMB said in a statement.

CIMB on Sunday it had completed restoring the lost funds of all customers who reported losing as much as P500,000 due to unauthorized transactions.
