Mercury Drug, the country’s biggest pharmacy, is transitioning to the digital age with a cashless option.

PLDT’s digital wallet Paymaya recently sealed a partnership with the drugstore chain, allowing the use of its scan to pay QR platform, a statement showed.

Mercury Drug, established in the post-World War II era in 1945, is the first pharmacy-retail chain in the Philippines to begin accepting payment for medicines and other consumer goods via PayMaya QR.
