Atty. Willie Rivera said during the hearing last March 31 that Globe Asiatique Realty Corporation asked the BIR for an extension of time to comply with its request for a certification confirming the total amount of income payments made by Globe Asiatique Realty to GA Concrete Mix Inc. (GACMI).
“The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) reset the hearing for the submission of the Certification on April 12, 2016 without conducting the hearing, the BIR has prematurely opted to file the case,” Rivera said in a statement on Thursday.
He said the certification is the document needed to confirm income payments for the years 2009 and 2010.

Further, the Letter of Authority issued to GA Concrete Mix, Inc. was never received by their authorized representative since the company has stopped its operation since 2010. Thus, the case is simply baseless,” Rivera said. RAM
