Last but not the least, celebrities drove in a timed karting challenge.

The winning team that proved they were the best drivers overall was the made up of Raymond Yap, Ted Tarriela, Peter Kim and Bobby Horrigan.

They brought home Bridgestone gift certificates, Caltex giveaways, a Bantay Kalikasan tree and a hectare of land to be named after them. Not bad for a fun-filled day at the racetrack, which is after all, a campaign for the environment.

At the end of the day, Marc Tagle, EVP-GM of Philippine Allied Enterprises Corporation (PAEC), the exclusive distributor of Bridgestone Philippines says, “We believe that it is possible, even for motoring brands like Bridgestone, to help the environment. I encourage everyone to join Bridgestone’s Drive Green movement. Just go to our Facebook fan page to sign up. ”

Philip Gan, VP for marketing of PAEC adds, “In our effort to help the environment and provide solutions, Bridgestone has been producing tires made with 100-percent natural rubber, from our eco-friendly factories. Bridgestone has also been investing heavily on research to produce scientifically engineered tires that benefit the environment. This means less CO2 emissions, less fuel consumption and more fuel efficiency. This is our cause for everyone on the planet.”

Also introduced during the Bridgestone Celebrity Charity Cup are Bridgestone’s Brand Ambassadors, namely Kenneth Cobonpue, Elbert Cuenca, Ernie Lopez, and JP Tuason.

Kenneth is a world-renowned furniture designer with a love for things that are both beautiful and functional.

In an interview, Kenneth stated, “People don’t realize having the right tire type and condition affects a car’s handling as much as a car’s suspension and steering set-up. I hope people realize the importance of safety and how the choice of tires can turn an otherwise fun and memorable trip into a real drag.”

Elbert on the other hand is a restaurateur and car enthusiast. With exceptional taste and knows quality when he sees it, he also shares that he has passion for driving.

As a Bridgestone user, Elbert was proud to say, “I believe in the product as it has proven to be a real performer for me. The right set of tires is important because I drive a lot, both within the city and to out-of-town trips.”

Ernie is the CEO of ABS-CBN Publishing. He has an active on-the-go lifestyle, and for him, this means a lot of time spent on the road with his family and his adventures.

He claimed, “I am honored to be chosen because with Bridgestone, I have never experienced a more reliable and durable tire. When I ride a car, I am going much faster than on a bike and many times my family is with me, so I need tires that I can trust.”

Last but not the least, JP is a racecar driver who established the Tuason Racing School (TRS). With a love and thrill for speed, he makes it a point that safety is salways a top priority on the racetrack.

JP states, “It is a great honor to be chosen to represent this brand. Based on my experiences on the racetrack, Bridgestone represents quality and performance. It has never let me down. I believe that I share the passion with Bridgestone—that everything must be done with a certain degree of excellence.”

Bridgestone has definitely found the perfect set of people to represent the brand.
