Century Properties paves the way for innovative living
GOING BEYOND “firsts” and imagination are again the driving forces behind Century Properties’ latest residential skyscraper, the London-inspired The Knightsbridge Residences.
Taking its name after the most expensive neighborhood in London, The Knightsbridge Residences intends to be the hip and high-design embodiment of Cool Britannia in Manila—marking another first in Century Properties’ portfolio of luxurious residences.
“I think our strength is providing these unique innovative concepts that no one has ever thought of. We’re providing concepts never before seen in the market and by virtue of this we’re actually differentiating ourselves from our competitors. We feel we’re on a league of our own,” said Jose Marco R. Antonio, managing director for Century Properties Inc., in a one-on-one interview with Inquirer Property.
True enough: Century Properties is behind many firsts in prime Philippine developments including the New York-inspired Gramercy Residences; Versace Home-interior-designed Milano Residences; Azure Urban Resort Residences, the country’s first residential community with a full-sized man-made beach; Acqua Private Residences, the first residential Eden here; and Centuria Medical Makati, a world-class outpatient medical-IT center in partnership with GE Healthcare.
Another first

And The Knightsbridge Residences promises buyers of another first in luxury condo living.
Article continues after this advertisementExpected to be completed in 2013, The Knightsbridge Residences is the second tallest tower to rise within the 3.4 hectare mixed-use development called Century City on Kalayaan Avenue, in the heart of modern Makati (MoMa).
Unlike other developments, The Knightsbridge Residences will be the first luxury residential building to attempt the execution of hypersized amenities—large designer convergence areas that effectively multiply the dimensions of one’s home.
It likewise features cutting-edge architecture by combining residential units called The Pod, and these hypersized amenities. All units would be podular in construction, which means buyers can easily combine units to create an even bigger space.
According to Antonio, all Century Properties’ developments feature amenities that are unique and hard to replicate, but all within reach.
“We built with flexibility and sort of affordability in mind because we believe there’s no point of building a project that people can’t buy. We are very cognizant with what the market needs and so we have actually tailored fit our payment terms to the specific market,” he explained.
While most property developers target to get the bigger chunks of the condo buyers with the lure of friendlier rates and basic amenities, Century Properties is primed to cater to specific and discerning markets.
Target market
“Our market is someone who appreciates high-quality product, something that was well conceived and something that brings a unique lifestyle into their day-to-day experiences… (As such) we feel that there is truly a demand for a centrally located prestigious, high design project such as Knightsbridge,” Antonio explained.
To illustrate, Antonio revealed that the London-inspired development has only 45 units available for potential buyers.
The 63-story development will feature stacked special residential units with dramatic floor to ceiling windows.
Future condo buyers can choose from five different designs: British Modern (interplay of old-world Europe and British contemporary flair); Culture (playful contrast of assymetrical accents and contemporary finish); Minimal (sleek design with sudden pops of bold bright red and gold); Oriental (pristine sophisticated lines interspersed with dark minimalist undertones); and Classic (timeless design in warm browns and cozy neutral shades).
Asya Design Partners did the architectural design while Chat Fores Design Studio was responsible for The Knightsbridge Residences’ interior design. The building will be placed under the experienced care of Century Properties Management Inc., the country’s largest private property management firm with an impressive portfolio of more than 50 residential, office and mixed-use buildings.
