DICT officials told to tender their courtesy resignation

Henry Aguda took his oath of office as Secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology last March 25.

MANILA, Philippines — The newly appointed Secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) ordered all undersecretaries, assistant secretaries and directors to file their “unqualified courtesy resignation.”

DICT Secretary Henry Rhoel Aguda said in a memorandum that this was to be done “in order to give [himself] the free hand to perform his duties and functions,

The memo applies to all incumbent undersecretaries, assistant secretaries and directors of the DICT.
