Gasoline, diesel, kerosene prices up this week
MANILA, Philippines – Motorists will spend more for their fuel this week as oil companies announced hefty price hikes effective Tuesday, March 25.
Petroleum companies said in separate advisories that gasoline prices will climb by P1.10 a liter, while diesel and kerosene prices will be increase by 40 centavos per liter, respectively.
Petro Gazz, Seaoil and Shell Pilipinas will adjust their pump prices tomorrow at 6 a.m., followed by Cleanfuel at 4:01 p.m.
Last week, firms left gasoline prices were unchanged but lowered diesel and kerosene prices by 20 centavos per liter and 40 centavos per liter, respectively.
Before this week’s price hike, gasoline and diesel have year-to-date net increases of P2.15 per liter and P2.85 per liter, respectively, according to the Department of Energy’s price monitoring.
Kerosene, meanwhile, recorded a total net decrease of 70 centavos per liter.
