MANILA, Philippines — Automotive vehicle sales in the Philippines rose by 2.9 percent in February, still largely driven by purchases of commercial vehicles such as trucks and buses.
A joint report by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (Campi) and the Truck Manufacturers Association released on Wednesday showed that local sales had reached 39,164 vehicles during the month compared with 38,072 units sold in the same month of 2024.
The growth rate was slower than the 10.4 percent growth rate seen in January.

“The automotive sales trends in 2025 are influenced by several factors, including supply chain stability, growing demand for electric and autonomous vehicles and global economic condition,” Campi said in a statement.
This brought the overall sales during the first two months of the year to 76,768 units, marking a 6.4 percent growth compared with the 72,132 units sold in the comparable period in 2024.
