Avida Land building communities not just structures

THE ‘Red Letter Day’ application on Facebook is expected to help build a community of thankful Filipinos.

Building houses is not all about the completion of the physical structure itself. For Ayala Land Inc.,putting up villages should go beyond the actual construction to the creation of a sustainable “community” where its residents are safe, fulfilled and relaxed.

In the case of Avida Land Corp., for instance, Ayala ensures that it infuses in each of its developments the so-called “community building,” wherein residents are encouraged to join and participate in various activities.

Avida Land was put up by Ayala Land in 1990 initially to provide housing for the employees and executives of the Laguna Techno Park.

However, it has since become a top contender for and a preferred choice of the hardworking mid-market segment.

Affordable yet quality homes

Since its establishment, Avida developments have continuously provided the mid-market segment affordable yet quality homes while at the same time elevating their standard of living.

Currently, Avida has 39 projects in 24 different locations and is expected to intensely expand its presence to other parts of the country in the coming months.

And in each development Avida ensures that every resident will get his/her money’s worth by adhering to what it dubbed as the five must-haves of every condominium and house and lot project: accessible locations; design; quality; buying experience; and living experience.

More importantly, Avida has pledged to continue coming up with activities that would help foster community building not only among its residents, but also among people who believe in the same cause.

Red Letter Day launch

Recently, Avida Land launched the Red Letter Day application on the social networking site Facebook, which it hopes to further help in its effort build a community of thankful Filipinos.

The Red Letter Day allows Facebook users to create personalized message of thanks to their loved ones.

“We want to inspire people to be grateful for their family, friends and everyday blessings through our campaign ‘Red Letter Day,’” explains Tess Tatco, Avida Land marketing manager.

“The application we put up on our Facebook page is a great tool to bridge people and encourage them to be expressive and appreciative of those people who truly work hard to give them a better future,” Tatco further notes.

Facebook users need only to register to the Red Letter Day application to create personalized thank you messages in 140 characters or less.

Meanwhile, Avida Land explains that those who will register on Facebook will receive an auto reply to their e-mail to confirm their registration. The e-mail contains a special unique promo code that can be used for claiming special prizes on event sites.

“The Red Letter Day app is so fun and easy to use. Users can be creative in composing their messages. We want them to express what’s inside their hearts and how thankful they are to the people that matter to them,” Tatco claims.

This latest campaign aims to further establish Avida Land as a brand that acknowledges every hardworking Filipino and rewards him/her with his/her own special day.

“A simple Thank You evokes positive feelings. There’s so much to be thankful for and a lot to be thankful to so we’re giving everyone a chance to say his/her thank yous in special ways through our new campaign for 2012,” Tatco concludes.
