Fifteen power plants, said the NGCP, are currently on forced outage — two of which since 2023, three since between January and March 2024, and 10 since between April and May 2024 — resulting in a total of 2,598.3 megawatts of supply currently unavailable to the grid.

Another nine power plants are running on derated capacities.

NGCP said both Visayas and Mindanao grids are under normal conditions.
