WASHINGTON D.C., United States — Business process outsourcing company Atento will set up its first call center in the Philippines in Madurriao, Iloilo, Malacañang said on Tuesday (Wednesday Manila time).

The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. met with Atento president Fili Ledezma Soto and chief delivery officer Josh Ashby at the Blair House as part of his official trip to the US.

During the meeting, Marcos told the Atento officials that they made the right decision in choosing the Philippines as their location as “Filipinos speak and write the best English.”
