Toktok, a superapp developed by Filipinos, has clinched two awards in the 19th Philippine Quill Awards.
Every year for the past almost two decades, the Philippine Quill and the Philippine Student Quill Awards have recognized the top communication programs, tools, and research projects across various industries.
Toktok emerged as one of the awardees in the Communication Management division for its “Omnichannel Launch Campaign” under Category 7 (Marketing, Advertising, and Brand Communication).
Together with this recognition is another award from the Communication Skills division. Toktok’s “A Social Media Campaign” under Category 23 (Social Media) is among those that made it to the list.
To ensure that only the finest of the best receive the coveted Quills, each submission—including Toktok’s entry—is subjected to a rigorous screening procedure based on the IABC’s global criteria.
The crop of winners this year was the biggest in Quill history, with more than 800 registrations.
“Congratulations to our 19th Philippine Quill Awards winners! You inspire us to push on and MOVE forward amid trials and setbacks,” the awards program said, quoting its theme for the celebration. “May you never lose sight of our purpose as communicators.”
Guided by its young and innovative founders Jonathan So and Carlito Macadangdang, Toktok is a Filipino-made app for safe, hassle-free deliveries and ordering your needs online without the need to go out.
The company was established in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and served as a source of income for Filipinos who lost their jobs.
Toktok was intentionally made to connect people through an extra hand in delivering items door-to-door.
