PH’s Toktok app hits 1 M downloads; local and foreign investors eyeing to ride on its growth

MANILA, Philippines – Three months since its launch, Toktok, the fastest-rising homegrown and affordable delivery service app has reached a new milestone with more than 1 million app downloads on Google Play Store and App Store.

The download milestone was achieved coincidentally as several local and foreign investors are in talks with the company to bring in additional investments and capitalize on its rapid growth.

“We welcome all opportunities that knock on our door. Especially when it comes to achieving our goal for Toktok to become a major player here,” says Cloud Panda Ph vice president and co-founder Carlito Macadangdang said.

“There are a lot of apps that are locally patronized. China has WeChat, India has Paytm, Singapore has Grab and so many more. We are very optimistic that Toktok will be for the Philippines and we are proud to say that our app has been developed by a very talented team of Filipinos,” Macadangdang added.
