For the first time in 15 years, Metro Pacific Hospitals rebrands with a new identity. Now known as Metro Pacific Health, the country’s first and largest private hospital group aims to significantly improve the way healthcare is delivered in the country, with a focus on transforming the landscape through digital innovation.

The new name, logo, and promise are a strong commitment to becoming the heart of Filipino healthcare. It’s a move that puts a spotlight on the brand’s global standards, but always with a personal touch.

“In keeping with our patients’ growing needs, we are digitally transforming the landscape to innovate healthcare in the Philippines. The name change from ‘Hospitals’ to ‘Health’ emphasizes that we are not just a group of hospitals, but rather an integrated healthcare network that seeks to link up all aspects of healthcare—from illness to wellness; from hospital care to virtual care, mobile care, and home care,” said Metro Pacific Health Vice Chairman and President, Augie Palisoc Jr.

On top of upgrading infrastructure, procuring new equipment, and expanding product and service offerings, Metro Pacific Health is also looking into digitally transforming the landscape.

This also includes introducing new virtual care platforms and upgrading hospital information systems to create an integrated digital access point—with capabilities to digitally search for and schedule appointments, virtually triage symptoms, navigate to the right site of care, and access electronic medical records across the entire network.

“We’re exploring remote patient monitoring, electronic health record systems, hospital-at-home programs, and all these other exciting opportunities that will revolutionize patient care in the country,” said Metro Pacific Health CEO, Dr. Harish Pillai.

In Metro Pacific Health’s Brand Equity Launch Event last October 12, 2022, tycoon Manny V. Pangilinan, who owns the company, announced that the organization envisions to be “the leading and most valued integrated healthcare network in the Philippines, and one of Asia’s most innovative and trusted healthcare providers.”

“I have high hopes for Metro Pacific Health, and I commit to firmly supporting the Management teams and employees behind the organization,” Pangilinan said.

Suffice it to say, the COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed the world in more ways than one, including the way healthcare is delivered in the new normal. Remote, direct-to-Home, digital, and personalized healthcare have become buzzwords in the industry.

The new branding is part of Metro Pacific Health’s thrust to expand services to better meet customer needs, modernize healthcare with state-of-the-art technology in medical science and data, improve the end-to-end customer experience, and make world-class quality healthcare more accessible to many Filipinos.

Metro Pacific Health has a network of 19 hospitals, 22 outpatient care centers, cancer care centers, pharmacies, allied health colleges, and a central laboratory. These are spread across the Greater Manila area, as well as in Bulacan, Tarlac, Laguna, Bacolod, Bohol, General Santos City, Butuan City, Davao City, and Zamboanga City.

Together, the integrated network of health facilities provides compassionate, holistic, high-quality patient-centered care, either through hospital care, virtual care, mobile care, or home care.

More than having a presence in all key cities in the country, Metro Pacific Health wants to bring down the cost of healthcare so more Filipinos can actually afford it. This means streamlining cost structures for more affordable healthcare options.

“This isn’t just a new look for us as a company, but rather an expression of what it truly means to be the heart of Filipino healthcare. This rebranding represents our promise to continuously improve the way we work, and the way we care for our patients,” Pillai said.

With a renewed focus on delivering Filipino healthcare from the heart, Metro Pacific Health further broadens the access of Filipinos to high-quality healthcare, with no compromise. By making Filipinos healthier, Metro Pacific Health effectively contributes to nation-building.
