Significant contribution, lasting impact in affordable housing
Proving its indubitable impact on the affordable housing market, Ovialand Inc. received a citation from the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG) for delivering premier family living to families in South Luzon.
The value-for-money homebuilder added a plaque of recognition to its haul of awards last Sept. 24 as the third-ranked Pag-IBIG Fund Accredited Developer in South Luzon for the first half of 2021.
The state-owned corporation feted the regional leader for “significantly contributing to Pag-IBIG Fund’s efforts to provide every Filipino worker and his/her family the opportunity to own a home,” the plaque declared.
Pag-IBIG gives out the award to housing developers generating homeowning opportunities for eligible members. It is in line with the “Building Adequate, Livable, Affordable and Inclusive Filipino Communities” or BALAI, an agenda to end the national housing deficit by constructing quality homes and communities for low-income families.
“We are so grateful for our partnership with Pag-IBIG Fund,” said Ovialand president Pammy Olivares-Vital. “They have made homeownership easy and accessible for all their members—especially during the time of the pandemic when many Filipinos desired security and stability in their own homes.”

Article continues after this advertisementOvialand launched Terraza de Santo Tomas in Batangas back in 2014. Years later, it successfully built over a thousand fine addresses in Batangas, Laguna and Quezon. By 2030, it hopes to penetrate key markets in Visayas and Mindanao.
As part of the plan, it aims for an initial public offering by next year to raise funds for its initiatives. It also wants to increase its market share in its niche—something it began fulfilling after recently entering a second joint venture with Kyushu Yaesu Co. Ltd., a Japan-based wholly-owned subsidiary of Saibu Gas Holdings Co. Ltd., for the development of Santevi.
Santevi will be Ovialand’s third community in San Pablo, Laguna, following Sannera and Savana. It will raise the company’s housing portfolio in Laguna to 2,500 house-and-lot units. The first joint venture with Kyushu Yaesu will also build 1,100 house-and-lot offerings in Caliya, located in Candelaria, Quezon.
“While we intend to further make investments in South Luzon, we also believe we can achieve long term growth by providing housing to all Filipinos wherever they are,” said Olivares-Vital.
The recognition from Pag-IBIG inspired Ovialand to forge ahead.
“This award … gives us additional motivation to provide our future and existing clients Ovialand’s promise of premier family living,” she added.
