Written by: Tina Arceo-Dumlao

The COVID-19 pandemic unexpectedly hit the world like a sledgehammer in 2020 and no company, no matter the size, has been immune from its debilitating effects that continue to reverberate.

And yet despite the devastation, there are still those Philippine companies that managed to recalibrate and redirect their operations, enabling them to still grow despite the most dire of circumstances.

It is these companies that the Philippine Daily Inquirer and international market research firm Statista want to recognize and include in the list of the  for 2022 to be published early next year–and companies have the opportunity to register, free of charge:  inq.news/growthchampions2022

Now in its second year, the Philippines’ Growth Champions will showcase companies that were able to post a robust growth over the past three years, including the pandemic-hit 2020.

Celebrating these wins remains part of the Philippine Daily Inquirer’s thrust to champion Filipinos and tell their story, which explains its continuing partnership with Statista to put out a new list of admirable growth champions.

Talking about the initiative, Felix Kapel, Lead Analyst in this project at Statista, said:, “Statista is grateful to once again partner with the Philippine Daily Inquirer to showcase growth stories that will shape the Philippine economy in the future. Despite the adverse conditions, recent economic data shows that the industrial and service sectors, in particular, are recovering. We want to find the companies that are driving this upturn.”

Kat Dalusong, Vice President and Group Sales Head at Inquirer Group of Companies, said:, “We are happy to partner again with Statista in publishing The Philippines’ Growth Champions 2022. We have seen that even amid the pandemic, there are companies which were able to pivot and adjust to the new normal business environment despite the challenges. We are glad to recognize these companies through this list as we highlight their successes. May the list provide inspiration to the business sector that the global health crisis can be weathered through optimism and resilience”
