Filipino-owned Radiowealth Finance advances digital growth with Globe Business and Cascadeo

09:00 AM September 28, 2020

The enterprise arm of Globe Telecom, Globe Business, collaborated with Cascadeo to support Radiowealth Finance Company, Inc. (RFC) in its journey towards a digitally transformed future. The latter sought the assistance of Globe in managing its existing Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure using Cascadeo’s Managed Services Platform.

“We’ve been proactively looking for solutions to help accelerate our digital strategies and better serve communities during this pandemic,” shared Darwin Candelaria, IT Infrastructure Head of RFC. “RFC was already on-board the AWS platform prior to Globe’s assessment of our business and technical requirements. The consultation gave us an opportunity to find out opportunity areas on our operations, security, and costs. Thanks to Globe Business and Cascadeo’s support, we were able to realize as much as 30% savings on our cloud costs as we built well-structured operations on our virtual servers.”

FEATURED STORIES

According to Candelaria, even with a leaner team throughout the COVID-19 crisis, RFC’s operations uptime and productivity remained unaffected due to Globe and Cascadeo’s intervention and AWS expertise. After conducting a well-architected review, Cascadeo, Globe’s cloud consulting and delivery partner, monitored RFC’s cloud environment and made sure their operations stayed up and running. This allowed the financing company to save on IT resources and allocate manpower to less repetitive tasks such as doing manual backups, managing system downtime, and checking on services that should be launched on time. Cascadeo also provided RFC’s IT team with training and key insights on the best practices for maximizing the Cloud.

“The collaboration among Globe, Cascadeo, and RFC just goes to show that businesses can remain resilient with the help of one another,” shared Raymond Policarpio, Globe Business Vice President for Product Management and Marketing. “With various challenges occurring in the business landscape, having a cloud support team can help shift the focus on crucial initiatives that directly impact revenues and client-facing services. We’re delighted that home-grown companies like RFC are participating in the vision Globe has for the Philippines: to be a country flourishing with cloud-enabled, digitally-transformed, and globally-competitive industries.”
