Unstoppable Suntrustees continue to reign

/ 04:04 AM February 29, 2020

Le Pavillon was bursting at the seams with Suntrustees at the 2019 4th Quarter Annual Awards and 2020 Sales Kick Off, all of whom are excited and optimistic to get Suntrust to reign in the affordable housing market this 2020.

They promised to be unstoppable the previous year. This time, Suntrust Properties Inc. is all set to reign as the company celebrated its 2019 4th Quarter Annual Awards and 2020 Sales Kick Off with the theme, “2020 Vision: I Reign.”

“We reign, we become better, we become more aggressive to achieve something better in 2020,” declared Suntrust Properties president Atty. Harry M. Paltongan. “When we say ‘I Reign’, it means we’re going to be the model, we are going to stand out, we are going to show the way.”

He noted however that there would be times when, no matter how focused and indomitable, certain factors beyond control can set one back.

“There are lots of issues affecting our sales,” admitted Paltongan. “It began with the earthquake which shook Davao in December, followed by the Taal Volcano eruption in January. Now, we have the coronavirus… But I want everyone to remember that this is just temporary.”

He pointed out that there’s still that growing demand for both horizontal and vertical residential developments. After all, the Philippines’ housing backlog is estimated to be at around six million units.

Paltongan thus urged the Suntrustees to not let these unfavorable events deter them from carrying on with their duties as members of the Suntrust family.

“By reigning, we also mean leading the day and bringing out your best, bringing out your potentials today and not tomorrow,” rallied Suntrust Properties’ president.

Over 700 Suntrustees were present at Le Pavillon in Pasay on Feb. 26 for the momentous occasion. Everybody was dressed to the nines as the night’s motif was “Night at the Oscars”. Indeed, it seemed like being transported to the Hollywood red carpet as soon as one stepped inside the events hall.

It has always been the vision of Suntrust Properties to be the yardstick in affordable township development. And as the year 2020 is believed to be an auspicious year and with the term “20/20” connoting clear vision, Suntrust Properties’ executive vice president and chief operations officer Deanna Jean Claveria similarly urged the Suntrustees to claim the year as theirs.

Claveria

Claveria recalled that when Suntrust’s executive committee crafted the company’s vision statement in 2007, the year 2020 seemed like a very faraway time.

“But now, over the years, we have slowly but surely realized our vision. It may not be perfect, but we are sure that that we will reach that vision,” she said.

Claveria also thanked the Suntrustees for trusting the Suntrust management in leading the way, adding that while they went through a lot of challenges, “we all believed that we will surpass all those if we work together as one happy family.”

She continued: “It’s not a perfect family. It’s not a perfect relationship for all of us. But for us who have been here through thick and thin, who believed in the vision that our president, our leader has designed for us. We knew that in the future we will reap—actually we are already reaping the fruits of our labor, the fruits of our dedication.”

Claveria called all Suntrustees “heroes” for contributing towards the realization of the dreams of other people.

“I think that is the very essence of our theme, ‘I reign’,” she said.

“(Through Suntrust) this is where you can spread the good news to other people that they can own their own homes and we can deliver quality homes,” Claveria concluded.
