TLDC ensures that employees can relate to its offerings and that its real estate projects are not just outputs of the construction team but rather a collective effort by the whole team.

Torre Lorenzo Development Corp. (TLDC) took its rightful place among the nation’s finest real estate players as it scored major wins in the recently concluded 7th Annual PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards held last July 5.

The property developer took home the Best Boutique Developer award, Best High End Condo Development (Davao) and Best Condo Development (Philippines) for its Dusit Thani Residence Davao, and Best Hotel Interior Design for dusitD2 Hotel which is also in Davao. These distinctions serve as a testament of how TLDC has cemented itself as one of the country’s most progressive real estate companies.

“Being one of the youngest and most progressive full-scale developers in the industry, it’s truly an honor to be recognized for the work that we do. We invested early in locations around the biggest universities to grow our premium university residence base, and in cities we knew would grow into centers of business activity. We are extremely proud that placing our bets on these developments was the right decision,” said TLDC president and chief executive officer Tomas P. Lorenzo.

TLDC chief finance officer Noel Rapadas and TLDC president and chief executive officer Tomas P. Lorenzo receive the Best Boutique Developer award.

Beginning as a niche developer in the ’90s, TLDC filled a gap in the housing market that was usually overlooked by most developers. Lorenzo took the chance to essentially change the college student’s quality of living in Metro Manila, seeing the need for better residences with amenities that will make living away from home safer, more bearable, and a lot more comfortable.

Our properties offer both.”

Differentiation

In an industry filled with Goliaths, this David remains unfazed. TLDC chief finance officer Noel Rapadas even sees the company’s size as a factor that differentiates them from the rest.

“We’re small enough to move quickly, but large enough to enable us to turn-around projects in a very short period of time,” Rapadas said.

Another benefit of being relatively small is that it was easier for the top management to transfer the mind-set of being attentive to details and being service oriented to the employees.

TLDC ensures that employees can relate to its offerings and that its real estate projects are not just outputs of the construction team but rather a collective effort by the whole team. The company also strives to imbibe a culture of hard work, dedication, and excellence among employees regardless of their positions. This is crucial as Lorenzo believes that knowledge transfer is the key to the company’s continuous success.
