FDC Misamis, HEAD Int’l ink power supply deal

MANILA, Philippines–Filinvest’s FDC Misamis Power Corporation (FDC Misamis) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement for a power supply deal with HEAD International Holding GmbH (HEAD), the Austria-based manufacturer and marketer of premium sports equipment and apparel.

HEAD, which is setting up its production facility at the PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental, is expected to boost agri production, create job opportunities and spur community development with the expected higher demand for rubber.

FDC Misamis, a leading supplier of affordable and reliable electricity to PHIVIDEC locators, will play a crucial role as it will provide HEAD’s entire power requirements.

Since high electricity costs has been a long-time issue within the complex, FDC Misamis said it has been working with the PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority to provide cost-efficient and dependable power to its locators.

FDC Misamis, a subsidiary of FDC Utilities, Inc., is the power arm of the Gotianun-led Filinvest Development Corporation (FDC). It is the owner and operator of a 3×135-MW circulating fluidized bed coal thermal plant situated within the PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
