SM Prime opens new office hub in Iloilo

MANILA, Philippines–Property giant SM Prime Holdings Inc. has expanded its office portfolio with the opening of a new 13-storey office building in Iloilo City.

Strata Tower — located along Iloilo City’s main highway and transport backbone, Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue and accessible through a covered bridgeway across SM City Iloilo Mall — created additional 23,000 square meters of leasable space for SM Prime.

The proximity to major roads is seen to provide ease of public transportation for employees of enterprises housed in the office hub.

At the ground floor, the new building houses retail shops including SM Savemore Supermarket.

Strata Tower aims to “establish BPO (business process outsourcing) and office presence within the city and its neighboring towns,” the company said in a press statement on Friday.

This property is under SM Offices, the commercial property development and management arm of SM Prime.

SM Offices has 35 operational office properties with a combined gross floor area of 642,000 square meters in 20 strategic locations across the Philippines. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
