Eastern Communications wins Stevie Awards
Eastern Communications, one of the country’s premier telecommunications companies, was named the winner of Gold and Bronze Stevie Awards in the recent sixth annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards.
With more than 900 nominations from organizations across Asia-Pacific, Eastern Communications’ Link VIP Club Program bagged the Gold Stevie Award for Award for Innovation in Customer Service Management, Planning and Practice (Telecommunications Industries) category. Meanwhile, Eastern Communications’ “Our Strong Connection” rebranding campaign got the Bronze Stevie Award for Brand Renovation/Re-branding category.
The Eastern Link VIP Club was created to further differentiate Eastern’s “high touch” service and to strengthen relationships with their customers.
Meanwhile, the Our Strong Connection campaign was focused on relaunching the Eastern Communications brand.
The campaign’s clarion call is to bring back the human connection in the business of communications technology. This internal communications initiative was aimed at defining the company’s unique brand as being “high-tech,” as they provide innovative services that are at par with other telecommunication companies and “high touch” with their personalized customer service.
The rebranding campaign also included a new mission, vision and values, a redesign of the company logo and employee activities that further promoted a culture of connectedness in the company.
The Bistro Group accelerates growth
The Bistro Group, the country’s leader in the casual dining industry for over two decades, announces new restaurant openings to tap a wider market.
Recently launched was TGIFridays 26th branch at Island Central Mall, the newest lifestyle hub in Mactan, Cebu.
Also opening this May at Evia Lifestyle Center in Las Piñas are Italianni’s (May 23), Red Lobster (May 23), Modern Shanghai (1st week of June) and Texas Roadhouse (3rd quarter 2019).
Meanwhile, Texas Roadhouse will open at Robinsons Midtown on May 23.
The newly developed Ayala North Exhange at the heart of Makati’s commercial business district will see Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant (May 24) and Italianni’s (1st week of June) opening its doors to discerning food lovers.
“We believe that there is strength in numbers, along with a brand equity that’s attached to these brands. There is a huge market waiting to be tapped in many places in the country that inspires us to embark on an aggressive expansion to bring our concepts closer to more and more Filipinos who love good food and Bistro’s quality service,” says Lisa Ronquillo, vice president for marketing of The Bistro Group.
