This December, JC’s Top 30 Qualifiers embarked on an unforgettable journey to Hokkaido, Japan, to experience the region’s world-renowned snow holiday charm.
The excitement was palpable as they explored the breathtaking beauty of Hokkaido indulging in local delicacies and reveling in the season’s festive spirit.
The journey took place from December 3 to 8, 2024. It also marked the steadfast presence of Vice President and CFO Carlito Macadangdang who accompanied the qualifiers and showed his unwavering support to the team.
The adventure began with a festive arrival in Hokkaido on December 3, when the group arrived in Sapporo, Hokkaido’s vibrant capital.
Settled into the comfort of their hotel located in the heart of the city which offered a warm and welcoming base for the top qualifiers as they prepared for the exciting days ahead.
On December 4, a free day was designated to allow the group to experience the taste of the local life in Sapporo at their leisure.
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, the group was free to wander the city’s iconic streets and visit local landmarks.
In the evening, they gathered for a special dinner at a nearby ski resort, where they savored the finest local cuisine while enjoying the snow-covered landscape. This picturesque winter setting sets the perfect tone for the holiday season.
On the third day, December 5, the group discovered the charm of Hokkaido which dove deeper into the cultural treasures of Sapporo.
The day began with a visit to the Royce Chocolate Factory, where they witnessed the meticulous chocolate-making process and enjoyed some of Japan’s finest confections. This was followed by a shopping spree at Mitsui Outlet Park in Sapporo Kitahiroshima, where the group found unbeatable deals on local brands.
The next stop took place at the Hokkaido Jingu on December 6, wherein the group visited one of the most revered shrines in the region. Immersed in the serene beauty of the shrine’s traditional architecture and lush surroundings, the group found a moment of peace before heading back to the hotel for another hearty dinner.
On December 7, after breakfast at the hotel, the qualifiers journeyed from Sapporo to the famed Noboribetsu Ski Resort which is known for its breathtaking natural hot springs and ski slopes. The group marveled at the beauty of the snowy mountains and felt the excitement as they prepared for their next ski adventure.
From Noboribetsu, the group transferred to Niseko Hanazono Ski Resort, one of Japan’s premier skiing destinations. Surrounded by powdery snow, stunning views, and world-class ski facilities, the group perfectly ended their winter adventure.
By December 8, after a memorable trip filled with laughter, learning, and bonding, the top qualifiers bid farewell to Hokkaido and headed home to Manila.
Throughout the trip, Vice President and CFO Carlito Macadangdang’s presence was a reassuring pillar of support, guidance, and inspiration to the qualifiers every step of the way.
