It is a solid testament to what it has become and what it has achieved as a reputable developer over the last two decades.
While garnering awards and citations has been commonplace for trusted real estate brand Suntrust Properties Inc., it has never wavered in its efforts to deliver the best products to deserving Filipinos.
Aware of hardworking individuals’ aspiration to own a home and be a part of something bigger and better, Suntrust Properties has constantly worked on honing and improving its craft, thus allowing it to become a catalyst for growth, and one of the country’s reliable partners in nation building.
Thus it comes as no surprise that Suntrust Properties’ efforts were once again recognized at the recently concluded 2018 Property and Real Estate Excellence Awards organized by the International Real Estate Federation of the Philippines (FIABCI-Philippines).
This year, Suntrust gained the Gold recognition for its first industrial park development, Suntrust Ecotown. A sprawling 350-ha township in Tanza, Cavite, Suntrust Ecotown’s complete offering—from residential, commercial, office, entertainment to industrial—has allowed the property to become the province’s biggest income and job generator.
“This Gold award from FIABCI is another clear and strong affirmation of our commitment to raise industrial park development in the Philippines to a new level of high standard and intelligent consciousness for ecology,” said Suntrust Properties first vice president and Suntrust Ecotown Tanza general manager Atty. Basilio C. Almazan.
“Suntrust Ecotown Tanza is exactly as we committed —world class, exceptional and environment friendly. It is the new address for manufacturers and investors. More, it amplifies the firm resolve of our chairman, Dr. Andrew L. Tan, and the men and women of Suntrust to deliver beauty and quality—all the time,” he added.
Suntrust Ecotown Tanza was the first foray in industrial park development not just of Suntrust Properties, but of the whole Alliance Global and Megaworld Group as well. Suntrust decided to go into this segment as it wants to further help in nation building especially in terms of job generation, foreign and local investments, exports through environment and energy friendly developments.
Currently, the developed lots in the industrial park are offered for sale. Some facilities providers, who bought industrial lots, are putting up factory buildings for lease to companies registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority.
Locators can enjoy a menu of fiscal and non fiscal incentives including income tax holiday or exemption from corporate income tax for four to eight years; exemption from national and local taxes; and duty-free importation of capital equipment, spare parts, materials and supplies; automated import and export permit system; and simplified import-export procedures, among other perks.
The first locator at Suntrust Ecotown Tanza was Philippine Toei Chemical Corp., which produces industrial rubber parts for the automotive industry. It began operations in December 2015. It was followed by Oakwave Philippines Corp., which manufactures wiring harness, and CCMC Land, a facilities provider.
Within the year, Suntrust expects more locators to start operations as well including Orient Goldcrest Realty; Lexan Industrial Corp.; Dyco; ZhongYao; and Ecopack, among others.
Given the continuous recognition and citation that Suntrust Properties receives, it is no wonder that the company earned that distinct mark of excellence as well as the respect and nod of its industry peers.
