2nd Emerging Leaders Summit features the country’s top leadership management experts

11:20 AM June 28, 2018

The millennial generation will be peaking in a few years as they take over at least half of the global workforce. Those who have spent their time perfecting their craft and finding out who they aspire to be will be holding key positions in their own respective field. While their generation is known to prioritize self-development, they must keep in mind that they will be working with other generations.

Boris Joaquin, President and Chief Equipping Officer of Breakthrough Leadership Management Consultancy the company behind Salt and Light Ventures said that “This generation is so restless always looking for meaning. They’re clamoring for careers that have an impact on society. Young people don’t want the cubicle career. They’re looking for a career they’re really passionate about.” Having started an advocacy called Project Purpose that is targeting Gen Y and Z, Boris believes that this young workforce is purpose driven about their careers.

Known to be very business-minded, millennials are open to new ideas that would stir up their chosen industry. Salt and Light Ventures addresses this together with five talented leaders spanning different generations in the 2nd EMERGING LEADERS SUMMIT on August 23, 2018.

FEATURED STORIES

This year’s Summit, which carries the theme “Grown Up Digital: Leadership for the Net Generation,” features McCann’s Gino Borromeo who brings with him his 18 years of advertising expertise. Aside from having numerous successful marketing campaigns, he has won 2 Effie awards, an award given only to the most effective marketing campaigns worldwide. Did we mention that he is a millennial himself?

Just like Gino, Niña Terol is another piece of McCann’s backbone as she used to head its corporate affairs. She also recently co-founded Kick Fire Kitchen, a company that inspires creativity and personal growth. Aside from her corporate profession, she is a public speaker. She has given TEDx talks to diverse audiences around the globe.

While Gino and Niña share their experiences working with a team in a fast-paced working environment, Carlo Mata shows us how to inspire, polish, and push companies further by providing world-class business service support with his high performance teams that has serviced several Fortune 500 companies.

Also in the line-up is executive leadership coach EJ Zara, who is known for his globally accredited development trainings and coaching. He has been tapped numerous times by some of the top 100 corporations in the Philippines for his expertise in organizational strategic management and planning.

As the four share their knowledge and experiences as they grew in the corporate world, Jules Guiang shares insights on what it’s like being a millennial youth leader. Jules, together with several other youths, spearheaded the creation of the National Alliance of Youth Leaders or the NAYL, an organization that advocates change throughout the country through youth empowerment.
