Essentials for the ‘uptown’ lifestyle

The search for the perfect accent, warm lighting, or design piece can be quite tedious.

As if choosing a home that best suits you and your family’s needs isn’t hard enough, there comes the challenge of selecting the right pieces to create a warm, cozy home.

What’s good though is that there are now a number of shops offering a mix of the modern, classic, elegant, or quirky finds that can fit right in any home—thus catering to whatever decór one may fancy.

Head over to the Uptown Mall in Fort Bonifacio and you’ll find home stores that offer a wide range of furniture, furnishings and accents—from the ultra luxurious tables and chairs, to the most economical lighting fixtures, and stylish cribs and beds for kids. Here are two of Uptown’s home stores.

DESIGN STORY

Design Story offers furniture pieces, accessories, and even lighting with excellent design and good quality at a reasonable price point.

Among the brands that it carries include Hay, a Danish brand that manufactures aesthetic yet functional furniture, accessories and lighting, and Stellar Works, which is known for designs that combine the influences of the East and West.

The designs of Hay products are Scandinavian with interesting twists in terms of colors, materials, and other details. As for Stellar Works, the designs are quite unique in the sense that the influences are a mix of the different cultures such as European and Japanese.

Both brands have worked with some of the most talented designers in the world such as the Bouroullec brothers, Doshi Levien, Hee Welling among others for Hay, while Stellar Works products are designed by Neri & Hu, Yabu Pushelberg, and Space Copenhagen, to name a few.
