FEATURED STORIES

Filinvest Land Inc. is one of those that ensure that their developments will continue to remain a model for sustainable development, just like what it is doing now with the 677-hectare Timberland Heights in San Mateo Rizal.

According to project manager Albert G. Morales, the company has successfully forged a “synergy between modernization and environmental preservation” at this development, as Filinvest strives to continuously preserve as much as possible the natural landscape of the area, and at the same time, enjoins the residents in a collaborative effort to take care of their communities at Timberland Heights.

Morales said in an interview that about 120 hectares of the land area have been developed to date. Of this area, 60 hectares were earlier launched as the Mandala 1 and 2 Farm Estates, which encourage property buyers to adopt the sloping agricultural land technology method to maximize the use of the topography of the land.

And on these farm estates, buyers are likewise required to plant at least one tree for every 250 square meters of their lots, Morales added.

“More than 10,000 trees have been added to Timberland Heights because of regular tree planting activities participated in by different sectors such as local government units, nongovernment organizations, schools and corporations. Different species of trees are also being propagated in the in-house nursery. These are all overseen by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the forester employed by the township,” he further disclosed.

TIMBERLAND Heights offers mountain suburban lifestyle.

A mere 15-minute drive from the Batasan Pambansa, Timberland Heights offers prospective buyers with breathtaking views of the entire Metro Manila area, framed by panoramic vistas of the Sierra Madre mountain ranges.

“Cool climate and the unpolluted environment make Timberland Heights the perfect nature retreat. The main selling point is mountain suburban living. Imagine waking up to a breathtaking mountainscape and the picturesque views of the city,” he said.

Morales explained that Timberland Heights has been cut into four small, themed communities—The Banyan Ridge, The Ranch, Mandala Residential Farm Estates and Banyan Crest—that  are meant to suit different lifestyles. Residents from all these communities will however enjoy the same lush greenery and mountain views as their backdrop.

“There’s a health benefit of living close to nature. What’s more, we have Timberland Sports and Nature Club, an exclusive membership club where families enjoy indoor, outdoor and nature-based amenities and facilities. Mountain suburban living means that everything that you see in the city is there while being surrounded by natural environment,” Morales explained.

Wise investment

According to him, Timberland Heights also has the 80-hectare Greenways, where families can experience nature first-hand through hike trails, winding and wooded path trails, swimming holes, camping sites, and sprawling landscapes.

Morales pointed out that putting  your money in a Timberland Heights development is a wise investment, as he noted that “everywhere we go, city or towns have become so dense. The alternative is to go upward to the mountain.”

“We are the nearest mountain community (about 15 minutes from Quezon City). It is your home away from choking urban centers yet accessible to business and commercial districts, socio-civic institutions and leisure centers,” he explained.
