Wilcon never ceases to prove that it is the country’s leading home merchandise store
I have been a longtime partner of Wilcon Depot, and through the years, the company was always consistent not only in terms of products and services, but also with engaging its partners, suppliers and customers, to the many things it has to offer. As a designer, I appreciate all the efforts being made by Wilcon to bring its products and services to more Filipinos nationwide. Always tagged as a company that builds “big ideas,” Wilcon never ceases to prove that it is the leading home merchandise store in the country. It has elevated the level of their services year by year, and at the first quarter of 2016, the company has proved it can do more, as it opened another branch in Bacoor, Cavite.
As Metro Manila’s gateway to the South, Bacoor has always had potential for housing developments. Seeing this as a way to serve more Caviteños in that area, Wilcon built a branch there to respond to the imminent need for home merchandise.
The launch was held last April 8, led by Wilcon founder and CEO William Belo, SEVP-COO Rosemarie Ong, and executive financial audit manager
Careen Belo. The unveiling was also joined by Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla (2nd district, Cavite), Bacoor Mayor Strike Revilla, and barangay Mambog IV chair Ma. Rose Nolasco, together with special guests architect Maria Nina Bailon Arce, secretary general of United Architects of the Philippines (UAP); interior designer James Jao, president of Philippine Institute of Interior Designers; and interior designer Johnny Hubilla, president of Hubilla Design Group. Also present during the ceremony were industry partners Alen Alban, country manager of Lixil Water Technology; Johnlee Garcia, president of Davies Paints Philippines Inc.; Jerry Tiu, president of Kent Floors; and Sam Chen, president of Hocheng Philippines Corp.
“Being our third branch in Cavite, we are happy that our partnership is prosperous and flourishing. Again, we are grateful for your province, especially the municipality of Bacoor and its local government for allowing Wilcon to be part of your town,” Ong said during the launch.
Always being creative in their approaches to engage customers and suppliers, Wilcon has pushed the envelopes this year, and held its first-ever Run for Environment last April 3. An eco trail run in nature, the La Mesa Nature Reserve in Quezon City has been the venue and the event benefactor.

Longtime Wilcon partners and suppliers were there to support. Partner brands who served as Platinum sponsors for the run were Grohe, Boysen, Mariwasa, Firefly, Kent, Kohler, and Geberit. Brands who helped as Diamond sponsors were ABC, Matimco, Asian Coatings, American Standard, and Landlite. Meanwhile, Bestank, Handlebar, NKD, Homeaid, Ariston, Roig Ceramica, and Phillips were Gold sponsors. And STN, Justino, Puyat, Fortress, Limson, Main Hardware, Brills, Novtek, and Black and Decker participated as Silver sponsors. The event’s media partners were Real Living Magazine, MyHome and BluPrint Magazine, and Home Base.

Being a trusted name in home building retail merchandise, Wilcon always seeks the best industry partnerships in the country. Following this partnership, Wilcon also participated at NatCon’s conjunction event—Conex 2016.
Conex is one of the country’s most reputed and one of the most important exhibits for home construction and design. Exhibit goers were able to see and experience Wilcon’s exclusive brands such as Grespania, Energie Ker, Novabell, Huanqui, Rubi, Pozzi, Grohe, Geberit, Kohler, Franke, Ariston, Philips and MacroAir.
During the first day of Conex, Wilcon launched its second DIY book titled “Monthly Design Ideas: Decorative Ideas for Your Home.” Headed by its SEVP-COO Rosemarie Ong, the launch was attended by notable Filipino architects, including Wilcon Brand Ambassadors architects Yolly Reyes and Molly Reyes.
