Innovative, user-acquisition product unveiled at TechIsland 3.0

During the PLDT Smart SME Nation’s TechIsland 3.0 conference last April 22, over a thousand entrepreneurs witnessed the unveiling of MarketBuilder, the country’s first user-acquisition product that will enable businesses to target, reach, and acquire customers via mobile phones.


PLDT Chief Strategy Officer and CEO of TALAS Winston Damarillo introduces MarketBuilder, a smarter way for MSMEs to reach their customers.

Introduced by PLDT Chief Strategy Officer and Talas Data Intelligence CEO Winston Damarillo, MarketBuilder will allow MSMEs to connect to their customers using dynamic profiling through geo-fencing or location-based marketing. This will enable entrepreneurs to target specific groups of potential customers based on their predicted proximity through a simple and easy-to-use mobile application.

MarketBuilder communicates deals, promos, events, programs, and discounts through email, SMS, and social media integration. It will act as an engine to allow SMEs to directly communicate marketing messages to their target audiences. Additional product benefits include the ability to create brand and product awareness, drive market consumption, and even analyze the effectivity of a mobile campaign.

Damarillo encouraged TechIsland 3.0 attendees to experience the MarketBuilder themselves. Happy Skin’s Jaqce Yuengtian-Gutierrez and Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, Louie Gutierrez of Silverworks, Raquel Bartolome of The Vikings Group, and Alma Tiu Go of Tong Yang Group were just some of the first business owners to demo the real-time mobile campaign experience of MarketBuilder.


A hundred MSMEs were even notified through a text message that they will be among the first to use MarketBuilder in the country.
