Why Trump Tower equates with super luxurious living

Eric Trump, the Trump Organization’s executive vice president of development and acquisition, recently visited Trump Tower Manila, the first in Southeast Asia, with his construction team.

Construction of the upscale residential development has reached the 49th floor, as of the third quarter. It is expected to top off at 56 stories, ushering the last phase toward completion by December this year. Delivery of units to owners will happen at yearend 2016.
The son of Trump Organization’s chair and president Donald Trump, Eric oversees projects across the United States, Panama, Turkey and now the Philippines.

New int’l destination

“By bringing the Trump brand to the country, Century Properties is introducing a global standard of excellence, quality and high luxury, making it a new international destination for luxury living,” said Robbie Antonio, Century Properties managing director and the development’s project head.

The Trump brand is noted for representing the highest level of excellence and luxury in residential, hotel, office, retail and golf properties. Spectacular views, prime locations, luxurious amenities and discerning owners are what Trump’s buildings are known for.

Launched in 2012, Trump Tower is a joint venture between Century Properties and the Trump Organization. It will be managed by Century Properties Management Inc.

To rise at 250 meters above ground, the 56-story building is designed by award-winning international architectural firm Broadway Malyan.
Enclosed in glass and steel, the tower will feature a “peeled façade” design and spire with the top and bottom corners that appear to be peeling off the structure. It’s a dramatic architectural marvel of steel and glass. Its curtain wall façade maximizes spectacular panoramic views of the city.
The façade’s function is environmentally responsive to light shelves and shading systems designed to react to the building’s orientation in relation to the sun’s path.
“It’s really just an iconic, modern building, very tall, very chic, something that really symbolizes everything that a Trump project means,” said Eric.

1 Prime location. The luxury-branded residential tower is located at the corner of Kalayaan Avenue and Salamanca Street, Barangay Poblacion, Makati City. It is one of the tallest buildings in Century City, a 3.4-hectare development, the area that the International School used to occupy.
Also located in Century City are some of the country’s iconic residential and commercial landmarks. These are Gramercy Residences, Knightsbridge Residences, Milano Residences, Centuria Medical Makati, Century City Mall, Forbes Media Tower and Century Spire.

2 Spectacular views. Eric Trump takes pride in the spectacular views that Trump buildings are known for. In fact, he even showed this writer a breathtaking view of Makati that he photographed at the highest area of the Trump Tower Manila. “This is already a spectacular view but if seven more floors are added to the tower then the view would be beyond compare,” he stressed.

3 Luxurious amenities. The skyscraper will have amenities that are the best in the world, according to Eric. These include the following:
• Trump Plaza that attests that you have arrived; and water feature, a visual delight to welcome your arrival;
• a grand lobby that has lofty triple-height ceiling adorned with iconic chandelier, pendant maps and elegant furniture, en route to a marvelous hallway;
• business center that will have an exclusive space with meeting, function and video rooms, a library, a lounge and a garden terrace;
• The Fitness and Spa Center that features a gym and a spa with stylish spa lounges, treatment rooms and a beauty salon;
• The Pool and Sky Garden that will have a lap pool and jacuzzi, a sun deck that opens to breathtaking views of Makati and a stylish juice bar; and
• common areas and the amenities will be furnished with Hermes home collection.
4 Discerning owners. It’s a combination of local and overseas buyers. “We have Filipinos locally and those who are based abroad as well as foreign nationals from Asia, North America and Europe. Only 10 units are still available. On the average, there is 25- to 30-percent increase in value from the launch price up to the current price,” Antonio said.

Interior finishings

Buyers of the more than 250 expensive residences whose sizes range from 60 sqm (suite) to 400 sqm (penthouse) can choose from the interior finishings of New York City’s most fashionable districts. For instance, from Downtown Soho’s unique sophistication comes ebony wood flooring, pristine white walls with linear paneling and white natural stones in smooth matte finish.

Glamorous Fifth Avenue’s classic design aesthetic is echoed through art deco in light wood veneer floor and walls, marble and granite natural stones in creams and browns. Trump Tower lends Park Avenue’s classic and timeless design by using traditional moldings on walls and cornices, contemporary wenge wood flooring, lacquered high-gloss finish for doors and door jambs, and marble and granite natural stones in cream, white and black.

Eric’s father Donald is known for this quotation: “I’ve always loved the Philippines. I think it’s just a special place and Manila is one of Asia’s most spectacular cities. I know that this project will be second to none.”

In properties bearing his name, Trump requires these standards: superior quality, retail and perfection. With Trump’s description of the project as second to none and the standards he requires of properties bearing his name have helped Trump Tower Manila clinch two awards during the Asia-Pacific Property Awards 2012. Trump Tower at the Century City won Best High-Rise Architecture-Philippines and Best Residential High-Rise Development-Philippines.

There’s no doubt that Century Properties will find ways to better improve what it promised to clients, thereby continually raising the bar of super luxurious living at Trump Tower at Century City.
